New Year's Eve 2006
Journaling:
On New Years Eve 2006 the youngest kids were so quiet and good. They sat in corners, on the couch, and on the floor playing and comparing each other’s games. It was cute how they were always sitting in a little group, each playing their own game.

Memorial Day
Journaling:
A three year old child is a being who gets almost as much fun out of a fifty-six dollar set of swings as it does out of finding a small green worm. Bill Vaughan
We spent Memorial Day 2006 at Ryan & Julie’s house. Megan spent almost the entire time on the swingset and even convince Aunt Aly to join her and Grandma to push.

Sack of Potatoes
Journaling:
This was Jeff’s first year playing soccer. His favorite thing about soccer was having Papa as his coach. After the game they would always play around. Jeff would squeal with delight as Papa threw him over his shoulder like a “sack of potatoes”.

Progressive Dinner
Journaling:
One of our familiy’s newer traditions is a progressive dinner. We caravan to each house to eat one course of a meal and see everyone’s Christmas decorations. In 2006 we had the progressive dinner on the 23rd of December, which allowed some of the out-of-town family to join in.
